From December 4 to 6, 2020, the First National Conference on Prevention and Control of Rock Burst in Coal Mines was held in Gu'an county, Hebei province. This conference was sponsored jointly by 6 organizations including Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. The academicians Gu Jincai, Qiu Aici, He Manchao and other well-known experts attended the conference.
The conference focused on the occurrence mechanism, theory, risk assessment, monitoring and prevention of rock burst, the problems of rock burst in deep mines, the status of prevention and control and the latest research progress, the risk assessment of rock burst, gas and water combined dynamic disasters, and the advanced technology of monitoring and prevention.
