"Intelligent Construction and Green Development of Rock Engineering under the Dual Carbon Goal" Academic Salon for Young Scientists was Successfully Held

A few days ago, the "Intelligent Construction and Green Development of Rock Engineering under the Dual Carbon Goal" Academic Salon for Young Scientists hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and undertaken by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME) was successfully held in Jinan, Shandong province.

This salon focused on the application of new-generation information technology and equipment in engineering construction, such as intelligent construction and disaster prevention of tunnels and underground projects under the "double carbon goal", and green mining and intelligent prevention and control of deep mining engineering. 

In this salon, academicians and experts from universities, research institutes and leading enterprises, and 31 young scientists conducted exchanges and sharing respectively, among which the proportion of national-level young talents exceeded 70%.

Academician Shucai Li, Executive Director and Professor Xiongyao Xie, Executive Director of the CSRME, addressed the opening ceremony. They expressed: for the development of green and low-carbon industries, young people should dare to take responsibility, accelerate the cross-integrated development of multiple disciplines, promote the intelligent construction of tunnels and underground engineering, and the green mining of mineral resources, and continuously contribute wisdom and strength to accelerate the realization of the "double carbon" strategic goal.

In this salon, the participants discussed the important cutting-edge scientific and technical issues in the rock engineering industry, with the purpose of stimulating the innovative potential and vitality of young scientific and technological personnel, even outstanding highlights and characteristics, to build a high-end communication platform for the growth of young scientists in the field of rock engineering, showing the spirit of young scientists in the new era who are high-spirited and striving to be the first.
