Welcome

Constitutive modeling of geomaterials has been an active research area with a long history. Different approaches have been used for the development of various constitutive models. A number of models have been implemented in numerical analyses of geotechnical structures.

We are excited and pleased to inform you that the Second International Symposium on Constitutive Modeling of Geomaterials - Advances and New Applications, will be held in Beijing, China, during October 15-16, 2012. The symposium will be organized by Tsinghua University, and International Association for Computer Methods and Advances in Geomechanics (IACMAG), etc. The main sponsors of the event include China Institution of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering of China Civil Engineering Society, and Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering.

After the first successful International Workshop on Constitutive Modeling held in Hong Kong and organized by Prof. J.H. Yin in 2007, this symposium will be held in the beautiful campus of Tsinghua University next October. As a distinguished scholar in the field of constitutive modeling, we sincerely invite you to participate in the Second International Symposium on Constitutive Modeling of Geomaterials - Advances and New Applications

We would greatly appreciate if you could consider taking the time to participate in the symposium and also promote it to fellow scholars and engineers.

Welcome to Beijing, China. We extend our warmest regards to you.
