　　Coupledthermal-hydro-mechanical-chemical(THMC)processesinfracturedgeologicalmediaarecriticallyimportanttoanumberofsubsurfaceengineeringactivities,includingmining,geothermalexploitation,oilandgasexploitation,andnuclearwastedisposal.NumericalmodelingofTHMCprocessesandexperimentalobservationsarecrucialforunderstanding,analyzing,controllingandoptimizingthesesubsurfaceengineeringpractices.TheInternationalConferenceoncoupledprocessesinfracturedgeologicalmedia:observation,modeling,andapplicationinvitesyoutoWuhan,China,November12-14,2018.Theconferencewillfocusonnewandexcitingadvancesinallareasofcoupledprocessesassociatedwithfracturedgeologicalmedia,includingnumericalmethods,in-situtests,labexperimentsandapplicationstodifferentsubsurfaceengineeringactivities.Wuhanisknownforitsbeautifulmountainsandlakes,itsworld-classrestaurants,anditsuniquehistoricattractions.Theconferencewillbeheldintheheartofthecity.Technicaltoursandfieldtripsarebeingplanned.Sightseeingtourswillincludevariouscitylandmarksandattractions.Shortcoursesandworkshopswillbeheldbeforetheconferenceanddetailswillbeprovidedontheconferencewebpageastheybecomeavailable.
