H. Parker博士关于准备会议材料的通知
(2007年12月11日)
To keep everyone informed as to the general content of each of our presentations, I have attached a few of the current DRAFT presentation materials. Please note that these are not necessarily the final slides. Revisions can still be made; they are merely shared to allow us to better coordinate all of our talks.
Attached to this email are Drafts by Ray Sterling and by Professor Xiaodong Shi. To keep files sizes small, other presentations will be sent by future emails.
(Note to Professor QIAN, I know you will not be able to join us but I am keeping you on the list so that you will be informed as to the nature of our combined presentations.)
Best regards,
Harvey

Congratulations on the fantastic job each of you did in making our joint ITA-UN event so successful. I know that this is a busy time of the year and I thank each of you for going out of your way to make this event such a success. All the comments I received were extremely complimentary. I believe that our host, Mr. Sergei Kambalov as well as the Moderator, Mr. Nikhil Seth, Director or OESC/DESA, were very pleased and they seemed interested in holding a follow up event at an appropriate time in the future. As you know, Sustainability is the theme for the 2008 High Level Segment of the UN so the likelihood of future cooperation is excellent.
The Chairman of the Conference, His Excellency Mr. Lebohang Fine Maema was most congratulatory and, like everyone, he was impressed by how much he learned during the workshop. Everyone I spoke to also remarked on how much they had learned on this "Unexpected Solution for Promoting Sustainable Development." There were many excellent questions and very good interaction with the audience, many of whom were UN Ambassadors at this interactive workshop.
Again, thank you very much for all of the tireless and excellent work each of contributed.
Best regards,
Harvey
