First Sri Lankan Geotechnical Society International Conference on Soil & Rock Engineering
Colombo, Sri Lanka, August 5-11, 2007
The early bird registration deadline for the aforementioned conference is May 31, 2007. The following are the main events planned for the conference:
1. Seven short courses offered by experts on the suggested topics from USA, Canada and UK lasting for 3 days (August 5-7).
2. The following invited keynote lecture (August 8th): "Monitoring the Stability of Slopes by Surface Displacement Measurements and Back Analysis?By Professor Emeritus Shunsuke Sakurai, Kobe University, Japan; President, Construction Engineering Research Institute Foundation, Kobe, Japan; Past President,ISRM
3. Twenty special lectures and 122 regular lectures, from about 35 countries, lasting for three days (August 8-10).
4. Four sightseeing tours, lasting for three days (August 11-13), for visitors to enjoy the beautiful sceneries in Sri Lanka.
